Ser Jacopo: Gem Series Fiammata Cymatium (Zaffiro) Bent Dublin with Silver (B) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-3115
While certainly full sized with a tall bowl and impressive chamber depth, this Dublin from Ser Jacopo projects a slender personality, especially at the transition and sterling silver fitment. From there the stem expands slightly before dropping down to the flat saddle orientation and balancing downward bend of the mouthpiece. The shape here is delightful, with a profoundly rounded heel depending from the lines of the shank and stem adding to the vertical stature, and the undulating rim of plateau offering some contrast of texture. The grain is nothing short of spectacular on the Fiammata-graded piece, its flame grain angling across the flanks in fine filaments. As for comfort in hand, it does not disappoint, the fingers wrapping intuitively around the bowl and ample room over the transition for draping a thumb. Well balanced and attractive, this is a pipe for a lifetime.
