Ser Jacopo: Picta Van Gogh Sandblasted Cutty with Silver (S2) (C) (2)

Product Number: 002-171-3166

Inspired by the pipe seen in Vincent van Gogh's 1884 painting Head of a Peasant with a Pipe, with a prominent heel spur and raised, Cauldron-like rim, this Calabash hybrid is perhaps the most complex shape from Ser Jacopo's Picta Van Gogh series. For all that complexity, however, it is executed with a certain half-languid, half-jaunty grace. The overhanging rim accentuates the elongated Acorn-like shape of the bowl, while the Hawkbill-like curve of the shank and downturned stem lend the composition a whimsical aspect. Accented by a bright band of silver for further elegant appeal and dressed in an earthy sandblast, this pipe is sure to be a conversation starter.
