Ser Jacopo: Insanus Spongia Rusticated Freehand Sitter (R2) (D) (7) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-171-3198

Here's a pipe that really makes a statement by achieving what appears to be impossible: a smoke channel that disappears. It's there, of course, drilled through the lower part of the "shank." We currently lack the proper terminology for this type of shank. I'll call it the "donut shank," because I can call it whatever I want (and I like donuts), and you too are welcome to name it as you wish. Rustication covers the majority of the stummel except for the "donut hole," the rim of the bowl, and the heel's nomenclature panel, which are smooth and offer beautiful contrast to the texture of the bowl. The bowl is pinched in the center, so while paneled, it still provides some easy and relaxing curvature. If you're an adventurous type who tends to run contrary to the traditional, this may be your pipe.
