Chubby and compressed, this playful Calabash from Ser Jacopo is a stoutly proportioned Nosewarmer. The robust, deep-chambered bowl features the domed, overhanging rim inherent to the Calabash form, while a high-set transition and similarly muscular shank are topped by a gently downturned saddle stem. It's dressed in the Italian workshop's Spongia rustication, with the aforementioned rim, along with a band of polished briar at the shank end, left smooth for handsome contrast.
