Ser Jacopo: Rowlette Partially Rusticated Bent Apple (A) (Maxima)

Product Number: 002-171-3297

A hearty handful, this bent Apple from Ser Jacopo is certainly deserving of its "Maxima" stamp and is also imbued with the whimsical shaping style for which the Italian workshop is known. It's wearing the Rowlette "dripping wax" finish that's mostly associated with Italian pipe making, offering a smooth mahogany stain offset by a slightly darker, texturally appealing rustication. Shape-wise, the plump bowl houses plenty of chamber depth and sits atop a heel that's rather spoon-like as it appears to be cupping the bowl. Paired to the quite robust diamond shank of a Bulldog, this piece doesn't skimp on muscularity.
