Ser Jacopo: Sandblasted Bent Dublin (S1)

Product Number: 002-171-3333

A unique piece from Ser Jacopo, this bent Dublin features a very distinct silhouette, looking like a large check-mark, or perhaps a stylized long-division symbol, owing to its gradual, continuous flare. In comparison to the bowl, the shank and stem are willowy and graceful, arcing out from the bowl at a steep angle before the stem takes a demure downturn. The heel is flat and the transition sharp, allowing the bowl to erupt from the base in the shape of an inverted, paneled cone, the flare to the rim swift and dramatic. Aesthetically this is quite the modernist piece, its firm lines giving it a flare for the structural for an eye catching, unmissable composition. The stummel is dressed in a deep, dark, chestnut stain and textural sandblast, the rusticity of the finish in handsome contrast to the form of the piece.
