Ser Jacopo: Niger Smooth Dublin with Silver (L) (A) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-171-3428

Many of Ser Jacopo's designs are wont to follow their more playful, Pesaro style of shaping, with exaggerated proportions and whimsical design choices, though that is not the case with this Dublin, at least not to the degree we usually see. Instead, the Italian Workshop has taken this pipe in a direction that's a touch more traditional, though with just enough imaginative styling to let you know that this is undoubtedly a Ser Jacopo pipe. The bowl cants forward quite a bit in this rendition, perhaps a touch more than on many chart standards, though its subtle flare to the rim is perfectly in line with many of the old Anglo-French marques. The shank features a touch of curvature to it, almost imperceptibly so, and terminates in a silver dome which holds the tapered stem, the top side featuring a straight travel, and the underside a more arced one. Dressed in the smooth walnut hues of the Niger finish, this pipe's palette is quite classic, and the warm stain reveals a handsome cross grain structure beneath, with birdseye peppering either flank of the bowl.
