Ser Jacopo: Pulchra Smooth Paneled Bent Dublin with Silver (L2) (C) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-3430
Known for playful Pesaro shaping and large designs, Ser Jacopo embraces bold, dramatic, Italian pipe making. This robust bent Dublin features a stummel of stout proportions, the tall, flaring bowl octagonally paneled with crisp linework framing the facets. The slightly inflated rim slopes gently toward the stem, overshadowing the transition, which is tucked gently beneath. A rounded, abbreviated shank is followed by some of the most astounding, ornate silver work we've seen from the workshop, including stepped bands and an intricate filigree pattern. The gleaming precious metal is topped by a downturned, jet-black stem for contrast and the stummel is dressed in a smooth, honey-blonde stain, highlighting gorgeous swathes of birdseye on either flank and the rim, with cross grain dazzling along the fore. A phenomenal offering from Ser Jacopo, this eye-catching piece is sure to garner attention.
