Ser Jacopo: Smooth Hawkbill (L1) Tobacco Pipe

Ser Jacopo produces a number of Hawkbill designs, the iconic, inherently Italian shape lending itself to several variations, most of which feature an Apple-like bowl. This piece from the playful Pesaro workshop, however, pairs the slender, arcing shank and sharply downturned stem to a more Dublin-esque bowl. A lightweight, rather sleek rendition, this pipe features a bulbous, drooping and rounded heel that flares subtly to a circular rim, a ridgeline demarcating it from the remainder of the bowl. A delightful design, it's dressed in a warm mahogany stain, highlighting a handsome cluster of birdseye along the rim.
