Ser Jacopo: Spongia Rusticated Paneled Bent Dublin (R2) (B) (Maxima, Maxima) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-3480
This bent Dublin from Ser Jacopo possesses two "Maxima" stamps, denoting the shape's hearty size, with the large, palm-filling bowl dominating most of the composition's visual weight. Featuring a broad, flared rim, a subtly lifted heel, and bit of compression along the flanks, the bowl takes on a forward-ebbing momentum, and it boasts a chamber capacity over two inches in depth, which should ensure some long, luxurious smoking sessions. The shank flares out of the low-slung transition and tapers gradually across its length before giving way to a saddle stem of jet-black acrylic, which downturns for a comfortable smoking posture. The stummel wears the warm Spongia rustication, with the rim, fore, and underside of the pipe left smooth for a touch of tactile contrast. With time and use, this piece should accrue patina, taking on bespoke characteristics and unique colors.
