Ser Jacopo: Delecta Smooth Bent Dublin with Silver (L2) (C) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-3525
This is quite the charming piece from Ser Jacopo, as it creates a fairly small footprint at just a hair over five inches long, though the pipe within that footprint is substantial. The bowl here is charming, plump, and rises over two inches in height, creating a commanding presence that thrusts it into visual prominence and creates a comfortable in-hand feel in concert with the relatively wide transition. Its consistent flare gives the rim a broad surface, and this expansion carries through from the shank all the way forward in a very fluid manner. At the shank end we see a broad band of silver that has been intricately and meticulously carved as part of the Italian workshop's Delecta series, providing a striking contrast against the briar's natural smooth finish and the jet-black of the demurely bent stem's acrylic. This finish reveals a truly lovely array of flame grain surrounding the bowl, with speckled birdseye peeking through on the expansive rim.
