Ser Jacopo: Picta Magritte Rusticated Bent Billiard with Silver (R1) (D) (20) Tobacco Pipe

Ser Jacopo's Picta collection features pipes crafted in the style of those featured in classic art — and in this case, the work of René Magritte. This tall bent Billiard is inspired by a similarly shaped pipe in the painting Music Moment. The upright, stout bowl is paired to a gracefully arcing and sweeping shank and slightly downturned stem, the fluid disposition of the latter countering the bowl's rather staid stance. The stummel is dressed in one of the Pesaro workshop's texturally pleasing, earthy rustications, the smooth rim and flanks of the shank lightly stained for contrast. A gleaming silver rim guard and shank end accent are ornately designed with musical scales, mirroring those seen in the painting.
