Bearing two "Maxima" stamps, this Bulldog from Ser Jacopo is a hearty, robust rendition of the classic shape, full of the playful design cues that the Italian marque is known for. The towering bowl possesses a single ridgeline just below the tapered rim which subtly accentuates the bowl's already considerable height. Below the ridgeline, the bowl tapers gradually to a firm, flattened heel that enables the piece to sit sturdily without the aid of stand. The diamond shank extends from the muscular transition near the bowl's bottom and gradually tapers along with the acrylic mouthpiece to a fine bit. The stummel wears a dark, crisp sandblast that provides plenty of stimulating texture to keep the fingers busy while cradling this piece, not to mention revealing some handsome grain, with the rim and a trim accent at the shank end left smooth for a touch of contrast. With a chamber capacity over two inches in depth, this piece should ensure plenty of long, luxurious smoking sessions.
