Ser Jacopo: Smooth Paneled Bent Dublin (L1) (B) (Maxima, Maxima) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-3585
Certainly well-deserving of its two "Maxima" designations, this Ser Jacopo bent Dublin is an angular, firm-lined interpretation of the classic form. This piece from the Pesaro workshop is also the epitome of a comfort pipe as there's plenty of hand-filling briar as well as a chamber of plentiful depth within, making it well-suited for lengthy smoking sessions. Six well-executed, architectural panels surround the flaring bowl and all taper downward to a firm, yet sweeping heel. The crisply lined facets established by the bowl continue through the gently arcing shank and saddle stem for a pipe steeped in an angular aesthetic. The stummel is tastefully dressed in a smooth mahogany stain that highlights the impressively tight tendrils of vertical grain that rise up along the bowl's right flank, with whorls of birdseye dominating the left.
