Resembling cracked earth, or perhaps, magma seeping from the ground, Ser Jacopo's Maior sandblast is a handsome, eye-catching finish that can't help but charm. It's found here dressing a rather bold bent Billiard with a tall, forward-canted bowl and a fluid shank-and-stem arrangement. In typical neoclassical fashion, the bowl holds most of the visual weight within the composition, overshadowing the sinuous shank and stem, and it houses a respectable chamber capacity within its thick insulating walls. A striking, lively design, this piece will no doubt become a favorite in any collector's rotation.
