Ser Jacopo: Sandblasted Billiard with Silver (S2) (A) Tobacco Pipe

While we usually expect to see playful, dramatically stylized shapes from Ser Jacopo, the Pesaro workshop has here presented us with a far more classically-oriented piece in the form of this straight Billiard. That all being said, this pipe is strikingly long, coming in at over seven inches in length thanks to the shank and stem's exaggerated proportions. This combination additionally contributes to an aerodynamic sleekness through the aft side, as they take on a consistent taper from the transition to the button, balancing out the visual weight of the bowl quite well. Said bowl rests on a rounded heel and rises nearly two inches to the rim, taking on its own gentle taper as it reaches upward that works well with that of the shank and stem for an overall look that is alluringly gracile. Dressing the briar here is a warm, auburn-hued sandblast that showcases blasted birdseye across the rim and left flank, while the right sees growth rings cascading down its surfaces.
