Ser Jacopo: **Smooth Paneled Bent Dublin with Silver (L1) (A) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-3642
Known for playful Pesaro shaping and large designs, Ser Jacopo embodies bold, Italian pipe making. It's pretty rare, then, to come across a particularly lithe, sinuously rendered pipe from their portfolio, as is this bent Dublin. The forward-canting bowl is framed by octagonal facets, while the gently inflated rim adds a more soft demeanor. A broad transition leads to a tapered shank, while the gracefully arcing stem turns downward at the bit to promote a comfortable clenching posture. An artful, flowing piece, it's accented by a tasteful silver band and wears a warm auburn stain, highlighting some lovely flame grain on either flank with birdseye whorls peppering the rim.
