Ser Jacopo: Rusticated Paneled Hawkbill (R1) (D) (Maxima Maxima Maxima Maxima) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-171-3698

Marked with a full four "Maxima" stamps, this Hawkbill from Ser Jacopo displays a build fully deserving of its appellation, showcasing a striking profile which places the bowl at the forefront. As a paneled rendition of the classic shape, the bowl's outline is further emphasized by an octet of ridgelines which surround it, the areas in between these ridges being slightly flattened, but still able to take on the generous curves which the bowl shape of this profile demands. Said shape manifests as a massively plump Ball-like affair, with a very generous amount of briar used in its construction, rising to nearly three inches tall and expanding to nearly two and a half inches in diameter. The latter of these features gives insight into just how thick the walls are that surround its cavernously deep chamber, insuring a comfortable temperature in hand even if you smoke hot. The shank takes on the profile's iconic aquiline curve with gusto, reaching out from the wide, mid-set transition and tapering before it finds the base of an offset saddle stem that's been gently downturned for easy smoking. Dressed in a highly textural, auburn-hued rustication, contrast is offered by the smooth rim, nomenclature panel, and band at the shank end, all stained a lighter color to enhance their presence.
