This triple-Maxima Bulldog rendition from Ser Jacopo offers plenty of mass in hand for a commanding presence and looks equally imposing sitting stably on its flattened heel. The bowl stands quite tall, especially for a Bulldog, with a single, encircling ridgeline wrapping a high-set waist. Out back, the equally hearty, diamond shank and stem taper quickly to the bit. It's dressed in the Italian workshop's stimulating earthy rustication, contrasted by a light, smooth section displayed at the shank end and much of the domed rim, which is juxtaposed against the dark rustication.
