Ser Jacopo: Jucunda Albus et Niger Sandblasted Volcano Churchwarden (S1) (B) Tobacco Pipe

A hearty Volcano Churchwarden, this Ser Jacopo rendition offers many appealing conventions. The broad-based bowl is adorned with the traditional form's wrapping ridgeline and playfully flicks up at the fore before tapering to the rim. A high-set transition is followed by an abbreviated shank that's then topped by the willowy, sinuously bent and lengthy mouthpiece. As a Jucunda, this pipe was treated to an old oil-curing process that few other workshops take the time to do anymore and has been dressed in the Albus et Niger finish, the dark sandblast displaying handsome ring grain and starkly contrasting the white stem for an eye-catching presentation.
