A bent Brandy imbued with Italian neoclassic design cues, this Ser Jacopo piece also features the playful shaping associated with the Pesaro pipe maker. Marked by a backward-leaning bowl with a distinctive, forward-protruding and plump heel atop a flattened base, this piece is a sturdy Sitter, thanks in part to the lithe, sharp downturn at the bit of the Prince-like stem. The bowl's curvaceous plumpness is contrasted by the slenderness of the shank and mouthpiece, making for a striking profile, while the stummel is dressed in a handsome mahogany stain with contrast, highlighting dense tendrils of flame grain on all flanks and birdseye along the bottom.
