Ser Jacopo: Smooth Bent Dublin (L1) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-3718
A strikingly angular rendition of the classic bent Dublin, this piece from Ser Jacopo features a deeply curved stretch of shank and stem that lends the composition nearly six and a half inches of reach. The stem here is posed for comfortable smoking and showcases a slightly offset saddle orientation, keeping the aft side interesting and pulling a bit of the visual weight back from the bowl. This effect is magnified by the sleek taper of the shank which arcs out of a tightly-knit transition, the downward slope of the pairing leading the eye to the rounded heel which then flares out to a tall bowl, the ovoid shape of the combination keeping things muscular from the top. At over two and a half inches tall, this bowl takes on a dynamic forward cant and expands to a firm ridge that marks the start of a domed rim, its walls holding a capacious chamber that's sure to offer lengthy smoking sessions. Dressed in a deep chestnut stain, this pipe showcases some handsome grain throughout, with flame through the walls of the bowl and birdseye at the top and bottom.
