Ser Jacopo: "La Pipaccia" Spongia Sandblasted Bent Egg with Silver (S3) (C) (14) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-3743
This lengthy, sweeping bent Egg is found here as part of Ser Jacopo's "La Pipaccia" series, a line of pipes designed to reflect those smoked by fishermen and other mariners around Pesaro, Italy decades ago. This rendition features a particularly long and graceful shank leading to a somewhat abbreviated, conservatively downturned, tapered mouthpiece. The blast is deep and craggy, projecting durability as well as refined stateliness. A sterling silver shank band and stem fitment divides said stem from the stummel in this tri-color composition, while the waistline of the bowl is difficult to identify, with the eccentric beadlines low on the bowl in a wide band. The only smooth briar appearing on this piece is at the rim, peppered with birdseye, and the nomenclature panel on the underside of the shank. Ser Jacopo enjoys a reputation for highly creative compositions, as this remarkable piece can confirm.
