Ser Jacopo: Historia 2020 Pulchra Spongia Sandblasted Bent Apple Sitter with Silver (S3) Tobacco Pipe

Ser Jacopo's Historica series is one the Pesaro workshop created as a way of revisiting some of their more distinctive shapes but with more contemporary alterations. This substantial bent Apple design is a wonderful homage to Ser Jacopo's rich history as well as the whimsical shaping style they've cultivated for four decades.

The rotund, palm-filling bowl exhibits a strong degree of forward cant and possesses the ability to sit unassisted thanks to a flattened panel along its base. My favorite feature on this piece is the acrylic mouthpiece, its amber hue speckled with dark spots and matching the acrylic band along the shank end. A generous sterling silver mount separates the acrylic, making this composition even more visually captivating. It comes complete with its own special presentation box and is certainly a worthy homage to one of the most innovative and daring Italian pipe making brands to ever exist.
