A hearty bit of briar, this Maxima Billiard from Ser Jacopo features the dramatic, bowl-centric proportions for which the Italian marque is known. The robust, towering bowl is encompassed by eight facets that lend plenty of firm-lined muscularity to the piece. The boxy, paneled shank continues the angular aesthetic as it tapers with the acrylic mouthpiece to a fine bit. The gradual diminishing of the shank and stem lends the bowl most of the composition's visual weight. The stummel wears a stimulating black sandblast that's especially impressive across the bowl, its robust build showcasing a stunning array of dense, concentric ring grain that's both visually and texturally enthralling. As part of the workshop's De Divina Proportione series, the shank end is accented with a striated sterling silver band that not only offers some handsome contrast, but adds a touch of elegant flair to the composition.
