Ser Jacopo: Spongia Rusticated Rhodesian with Silver (R2) (B) (Maxima) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-3773
A low-lying and lengthy interpretation of the Rhodesian from Ser Jacopo, this rendition boasts one "Maxima" stamp, attesting to its bold shaping. The domed, broad-rimmed bowl is replete with pronounced beadlines and more softly rounded lower flanks. The Pesaro pipe maker has imbued this piece with the dramatized proportions of Italian neoclassic style, as the hearty bowl maintains the focal point of the form. A long, graceful, and gently arcing shank and stem of far more lithe shaping extends from a tucked transition in back for a handsome silhouette, with the stummel wearing a lightly stained, craggy rustication, save for the inner rim, beadlines and the nomenclature panel along the shank. For additional flair, a bright band of silver accentuates the shank end and is contrasted by the jet-black, acrylic stem.
