Ser Jacopo: Insanus Rusticated Bent Dublin Sitter with Silver (R1) (D) (8) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-3782
The Insanus line from Ser Jacopo is appropriately full of insane pipes, designed to push the limits of pipe design and engineering. Non-traditional, uncommon features are inherently a part of the line and offer plenty of intrigue and mystery. This bent Dublin is actually one of the more reserved members of the Italian workshop's bold series, characterized by its deeply bent, sweeping, swan neck-like shank and stem. Its sinuously bent form is reminiscent of a traditional Calabash, but this example displays some unique features. The fore of the rim comes to a crisp point when the piece is viewed from above and the bowl's lower portion, right above the heel, has been flattened to allow it to sit soundly on flat surfaces. If you're searching for a different kind of desk pipe or just a pipe that will start conversations anywhere it's seen, this one is an excellent contender.
