Ser Jacopo: Amber Delecta Rusticated Apple With Silver (R1) (C) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-171-3811

This is most certainly an Italian Neoclassical rendition of the straight Apple, but that is to be expected from Pesaro workshop Ser Jacopo, who have taken the classic shape here and exaggerated its proportions to great effect. The stem here is a thick taper of crackling amber acrylic that sharply steps down to a base adorned with a broad band of silver, fully nestled into a flared acrylic fitment at the shank end which shares the same color as the stem. Immediately following this is a beadline, marking the thick, short, tapering length of briar that pushes out of the wide transition, the stocky aft of this piece balancing the heartiness of the plump bowl whose walls take on an arcing taper from its mid-set waistline. Underneath this bowl is a sweeping heel and a flat underside, allowing this pipe to sit quite stably, displaying its craggy, earthy rustication and understated palette without the need of a stand.
