Tall and hearty, this robust piece from Ser Jacopo is a Maxima rendition, featuring a bold, Pesaro-style bowl with plenty of chamber depth. Displaying a muscular, cylindrical build to the flat rim from a sweeping heel, the bowl is paired to an upward-curling shank that continues this muscular disposition. As a Delecta, it features a stylized shank end that's carved with a beadline just before a slight pinch and flare to a domed face which is recessed to accept fart of the stem base. This briar mount is married to an ebony-hued acrylic stem that's been handsomely shaped and smartly downturned for comfortable smoking, and it's been fitted with a silver band around the base for added elegant flare. Dressed in a warm, naturally-hued iteration of the Spongia rustication, this pipe provides plenty of texture for the fingers to appreciate, its rugged surfaces able to patinate thanks to the light staining.
