This Rhodesian from Ser Jacopo is a sinuously bent rendition of the classic shape, presenting a tall, forward-canted bowl set to a slender S-curve of shank and stem. In typical Italian neoclassical style, the bowl here holds most of the visual weight within the composition, overshadowing the comparatively trim shank and stem. Twin beadlines stand on the bowl's high-set waistline, demarcating the tapered rim from the slightly lifted heel. It's all dressed in a smoky smooth finish that highlights an impressive showing of grain across the bowl.
