Ser Jacopo: Rusticated Rhodesian (R1) (E) (Maxima Maxima Maxima Maxima Maxima) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-3927
Ser Jacopo was founded in the 1980s by legendary pipe maker Giancarlo Guidi. The workshop cultivated their signature Pesaro style, which delights in dramatic flourishes and whimsical stylings, even more so than the already playful Italian tradition. Unfortunately, Guidi passed away in 2012, but Ser Jacopo carries on his legacy. This Rhodesian by Ser Jacopo is dressed in their signature rustication, but it also contains many smooth finished sections, namely the nomenclature panel, a band at the shank end, and the area around the waistline, which here accentuates the bowl's concentric beadlines. The muscular bowl houses an impressively capacious chamber, and the demurely bent shank-and-stem arrangement makes for a pipe that's demurely curved and charming, belying the impressive scale of this five-times "Maxima" stamped piece.
