Ser Jacopo's iconic Pesaro shaping style results in pipes that are often whimsical and playfully designed, with no shortage of contemporary and artistic influence to be found within the Italian workshop's portfolio. This Hawkbill, however, boasts a look that's far more understated, though certainly neoclassical given its robust bowl. Said bowl sits at the end of an aquiline stretch of shank and stem which taper gently as they stretch toward the button: this combination's sleekness and the bowl's relative heartiness belying the pipe's overall length of less than five inches. Up front, the bowl itself rests atop a rounded, pronounced heel which supports its supple, curved walls and low-set waistline. A swift taper to the rim further amplifies the presence of the bowl's curves, the stummel's substance providing a great canvas to showcase a dark, chestnut-hued stain which reveals handsome grain.
