Ser Jacopo: Smooth Bent Dublin (L1) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-3997
Ser Jacopo was founded in the 1980s by legendary pipe maker Giancarlo Guidi. The workshop cultivated their signature Pesaro style, which delights in dramatic flourishes and whimsical stylings, even more so than the already playful Italian tradition. Sadly, Guidi passed away in 2012, but Ser Jacopo carries on his legacy. This bent Dublin by Ser Jacopo presents a sinuous profile, as the high-kicking shank-and-stem arrangement sweeps through the transition to the trumpeting bowl, imbuing this substantial piece with willowy elegance. However, there is also structural contrast to appreciate, as the supple curves of the bowl are juxtaposed by the rectangular sharpness of the well-bent shank. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in a walnut smooth finish, highlighting a fetching pattern of wispy flame grain around the bowl.
