Ser Jacopo: Delecta Spongia Rusticated Bent Apple with Silver (R2) (C) (9mm) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-4008
Ser Jacopo was founded in the 1980s by legendary pipe maker Giancarlo Guidi. The workshop cultivated their signature Pesaro style, which delights in dramatic flourishes and whimsical stylings, even more so than the already playful Italian tradition. Unfortunately, Guidi passed away in 2012, but Ser Jacopo carries on his legacy. A robust offering from Ser Jacopo, this bent Apple feels delightfully plump in hand, and the tactile enjoyment is further enhanced by the craggy Spongia rustication. Although the bowl is the focal point of this pipe, the thick shank-and-stem arrangement balances the composition, drawing one's eye with an acrylic expansion ring and silver band. Furthermore, the transparent, amber-hued acrylic pairs nicely to the blonde stain on the stummel, creating a cohesive color scheme.
