Ser Jacopo: Rowlette Rusticated Billiard Tobacco Pipe

While the "dripping wax" finish is something distinctive to Italian pipe making, within that context, techniques and approaches vary widely. Whereas the Radices favor a very abstract, impressionistic aesthetic for example, Ser Jacopo carves theirs in a smooth, more clearly detailed style. That is, of course, what we're looking at here with the Rowlette finish, which is wrapped around the statuesque bowl of this firm, traditionally-inclined Billiard, a pipe impressively lengthy and delightful in hand.
