Ser Jacopo: Rowlette Rusticated Billiard Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-4012
Ser Jacopo was founded in 1982 by Giancarlo Guidi, the Pesaro workshop's portfolio expanding since with often quite whimsical, bold renditions. This Billiard is no exception, coming in at more than six inches long, though its shaping aligns more with traditional English designs. The rounded, stout bowl is poised at the end of a subtly tapering shank and sleek saddle stem, the walls' contours lending the outline of the bowl a Brandy-like taper to the rim. The stummel is dressed here in the Rowlette finish, an intriguing "melting wax"-style of carving that's mostly unique to Italian pipe making, its mahogany and chestnut hues resulting in a warm, rustic disposition.
