An incredibly stout and muscular rendition of the bent Dublin, this piece from Ser Jacopo nicely represents the Italian firm's whimsical shaping style and penchant for robust proportions. The bowl here exhibits the form's characteristic flare, swiftly broadening from its plump, slightly lifted heel to its broad, undulating rim. Said bowl houses a capacious chamber within its thick insulating walls, ensuring plenty of long, leisurely smoking sessions. Though quiet hearty, this piece is fairly well-balanced, with the bowl, shank, and stem each contributing to the composition in profile. Dressed in a dark sandblast, the stummel reveals tight bands of growth rings that rise across the flanks of the bowl.
