Ser Jacopo: Rusticated Rhodesian Sitter Churchwarden (R1) (B) (Maxima) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-171-4062

This Churchwarden from Italian workshop Ser Jacopo takes the form of a sitting Rhodesian, the likes of which we've seen before several times from the brand, though seldom in Maxima proportions. The outline of this piece is incredibly sinuous, reminiscent of the Saxophone with a steep bend of stem that's here paired to a sharply upturned shank, the combination taking on a consistent taper to the button from out of the wide transition. This strikingly arced duo lends the pipe a stance that's quite well-suited to jaw-hanging, all while keeping the smoke well away from the eyes thanks to its more than nine inches of length. Up front, the bowl stands atop a flattened, sure-sitting heel and cants forward dynamically, flaring out to a firm ridgeline before taking on a taper to the rim. Dressed in a rich, earthy stain and a craggy rustication, this pipe features a wealth of texture throughout, its pairing to a jet-black acrylic stem lending the composition a bit of classic styling.
