Ser Jacopo: Smooth Bent Billiard (L1) (C) (Maxima Maxima Maxima) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-4070
Ser Jacopo was founded in the 1980s by legendary pipe maker Giancarlo Guidi. The workshop cultivated their signature Pesaro style, which delights in dramatic flourishes and whimsical stylings, even more so than the already playful Italian tradition. Sadly, Guidi passed away in 2012, but Ser Jacopo carries on his legacy. This bent Billiard from Ser Jacopo possesses a towering, forward-urging bowl that features a pronounced heel, insulating walls, and a broad rim showcasing plateau. Furthermore, the bowl is dressed in a dark chestnut stain that highlights birdseye freckles on the underside and long tendrils of vertical grain on the walls, and a pair of carved beadlines create a visual flourish and a textural contrast. The shank-and-stem arrangement demurely bends out back, adding dynamism to the shape, while the acrylic saddle stem makes the profile of this nine-inch-long pipe trim and sleek.
