Founded by Giancarlo Guidi in the 1980s, Ser Jacopo is among the most prominent workshops working the dramatic Pesaro style, characterized by bold proportions and inventive finishing techniques. This Hawkbill is a fine example Ser Jacopo's style, featuring a bulbous, Egg-like bowl with tapering walls and a plump, exaggerated heel at the fore of a sleekly arcing round shank that stretches out to join a comfortably bent acrylic saddle stem. Dressed in the Maior sandblast, the stummel offers crisp texture run through with crimson channels that lend this piece a volcanic aesthetic.
