Ser Jacopo: Insanus Smooth Bent Dublin Sitter with Silver (L1) (D) (8) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-171-4094

Ser Jacopo was founded in the 1980s by legendary pipe maker Giancarlo Guidi. The workshop cultivated their signature Pesaro style, which delights in dramatic flourishes and whimsical stylings, even more so than the already playful Italian tradition. Sadly, Guidi passed away in 2012, but Ser Jacopo carries on his legacy. Ser Jacopo's Insanus series features reality-bending pipes that revel in bucking standard pipe making conventions. This bent Dublin from Ser Jacopo initially appears to be quite classic, with a sinuous, Calabash-esque profile that manifests a superbly comfortable jaw-hanging posture. However, this curvaceous pipe is actually a stable Sitter thanks to the trim, flattened facet on the heel. Furthermore, the facet tapers to a pronounced ridgeline on the fore that extends up to the domed rim, adding crisp geometry to the shapely in-hand feel. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in a chestnut-hued smooth finish, highlighting gorgeous wisps of flame grain that ascend to the rim.
