This Apple from Ser Jacopo boasts a plump, supple bowl that stands at the fore of an arrow-straight shank-and-stem arrangement. The bowl tapers from its full heel to its tauter rim, and as it does, it produces a low-set waistline that conforms naturally to the hand. The shank and stem keep the shape balanced and natural in profile, while imbuing the totality of the form with a certain sleekness. A ruby-hued sandblast dresses the stummel and highlights fetching grain across the briar's surface, while an accent of silver adorns the amber-hued stem's base and provides a touch of flash to the composition.
