Ser Jacopo: Insanus Spongia Rusticated Freehand with Silver (R2) (D) (6) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-171-4099

Founded by Giancarlo Guidi in the 1980s, Ser Jacopo is among the most prominent workshops working the dramatic Pesaro style, characterized by bold proportions and inventive finishing techniques. Ser Jacopo's Insanus series presents the very wildest of the marque's designs, creating distinctive silhouettes seen nowhere else. This piece places a tall, flared bowl at the fore of a mind-bending shank that extends past the heel like a Cavalier, while the rear creates a seemingly broken outline, capped by a silver band and acrylic saddle stem. Dressed in the Spongia finish, the natural hues of the stummel pair perfectly with the intense texture all around the bowl.
