Ser Jacopo: Delecta Smooth Bent Billiard with Silver (L1) (D) (Maxima) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-4119
Ser Jacopo was founded in the 1980s by legendary pipe maker Giancarlo Guidi. The workshop cultivated their signature Pesaro style, which delights in dramatic flourishes and whimsical stylings, even more so than the already playful Italian tradition. Sadly, Guidi passed away in 2012, but Ser Jacopo carries on his legacy. This bent Billiard by Ser Jacopo bears one of the workshop's "Maxima" stamps, an indicator of its substantial size. The composition's weight is centered at the robust bowl, whose thick, cylindrical walls offer plenty of insulation from the capacious chamber, resulting in a comfortable clutch in-hand during lengthy smoking sessions. Out back, the shank and stem feature one of Ser Jacopo's Delecta mounts, pairing colorful yellow acrylic to a silver band while retaining a traditionally-styled tenon and mortise. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in a dark walnut stain, highlighting wisps of grain around the bowl and shank.
