Ser Jacopo: Spongia Rusticated Bent Billiard (R2) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-4145
Ser Jacopo was founded in the 1980s by legendary pipe maker Giancarlo Guidi. The workshop cultivated their signature Pesaro style, which delights in dramatic flourishes and whimsical stylings, even more so than the already playful Italian tradition. Sadly, Guidi passed away in 2012, but Ser Jacopo carries on his legacy. This bent Billiard by Ser Jacopo features a bowl with an hourglass shape, as the walls taper from a pronounced heel before flaring outwards to a crisp ridgeline that frames an inflated rim. Furthermore, the bowl is dressed in Ser Jacopo's rugged Spongia rustication, the blonde-hued stain ensuring that the pipe will patinate nicely over time. The robust bowl is paired to a high-kicking shank-and-stem arrangement, providing a comfortable clench for hands-free smoking.
