Ser Jacopo: Picta Picasso Sandblasted Acorn with Silver (S1) (C) (25) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-171-4148

Ser Jacopo was founded in the 1980s by legendary pipe maker Giancarlo Guidi. The workshop cultivated their signature Pesaro style, which delights in dramatic flourishes and whimsical stylings, even more so than the already playful Italian tradition. Sadly, Guidi passed away in 2012, but Ser Jacopo carries on his legacy. One of Guidi's greatest passions, other than pipe making, was procuring fine art. Ser Jacopo's Picta series pays homage to iconic art pieces, and this particular pipe was inspired by Pablo Picasso's painting Sitting Man With Pipe (1968).

This Acorn by Ser Jacopo features a stubby shank that meets the bowl at a mid-set transition, making the bowl's profile pronounced and plump. Furthermore, the bowl is dressed in a rugged black sandblast, which exposes undulating growth rings along the shapely contours. The dark hues on the stummel are paired to a lengthy jet-black, creating a sleek profile. Additionally, a shimmering silver band on the shank end completes this pipe's distinguished aesthetic.
