Ser Jacopo: Picta Picasso Rusticated Acorn with Silver (R1) (C) (25) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-171-4156

The late Giancarlo Guidi, founder of Ser Jacopo, was an avid art collector and enthusiast. So much of an enthusiast, in fact, that he created the Picta line — a series inspired by pipes featured in the works of major artists like van Gogh, Miro, and Magritte. Taking inspiration from Picasso's work, this Acorn features a plump, full-bodied bowl that's posed at the fore of a slender shank-and-stem arrangement. In typical Italian neoclassical fashion, the bowl holds most of the visual weight within the composition, its bulging heel and sheer size overshadowing the trim shank and stem. Dressed in a mixture of smooth and sandblasted finish, the stummel offers a wealth of unique textures for the fingers to admire. Additionally, this piece is adorned with a gleaming band of silver, which provides a touch of flash to the overall form.
