Founded by Giancarlo Guidi in the 1980s, Ser Jacopo is among the most prominent workshops working in the dramatic Pesaro style, characterized by bold proportions and inventive finishing techniques. This paneled Volcano is a fine example of the Italian marque's unique style, featuring an octagonal bowl that rests on a broad, flat heel, with walls that taper dramatically to a slim rim. Out back, a sleek round shank arcs upward to meet a comfortably bent stem of black acrylic. Dressed in a rich walnut finish, the stummel displays fine birdseye at the flanks, with tight cross grain at fore and aft.
