Ser Jacopo's "20" design from the Picta Picasso series pays homage to the legendary Spanish artist's 1915 painting Man in a Bowler Hat, Seated in an Armchair, an abstract piece from Picasso's Synthetic Cubism period. It's a flowing, yet robust bent Dublin shape, its concave rim giving the piece a floral-esque profile that also enables this piece to be smoked outside as the front side of the rim is raised slightly higher, offering a windshield against the natural elements. Finished in a texturally pleasing sandblast, the ring grain patterns around the bowl are stellar, rising up from the lifted heel and climbing the flanks. The paneled shank adds some firmness while the silver band along the shank end provides a hint of refined contrast that further elevates the presentation.
