Ser Jacopo: Picta Magritte Smooth Hawkbill with Silver (L1) (C) (17) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-171-4279

The late Giancarlo Guidi, founder of Ser Jacopo, was an avid art collector and enthusiast. So much of an enthusiast, in fact, that he created the Picta line — a series inspired by pipes featured in the works of major artists like van Gogh, Miro, and Magritte. This particular Hawkbill takes inspiration from Magritte. As a shape, it features a plump, full-bodied bowl that's posed at the fore of a languid, aquiline-like shank-and-stem arrangement. The form's characteristic shank and stem imbue this piece with a gestural curvature that's visually captivating. Dressed in a walnut smooth finish, the stummel showcases a wealth of stunning grain. Additionally, this piece is accented with a band of silver, which ties the entire composition together quite nicely.
